TERMS OF USE
Effective Date: March, 2021
Last Updated: July, 2026
Version: 5.0
Governing Law: State of Florida, United States
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ReDefiners World Languages website, account platform, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by ReDefiners World Languages, a Florida non-profit corporation ("ReDefiners," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, enrolling in a program, or otherwise using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them.
If you are enrolling a minor or creating a household account on behalf of children, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of those minors and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Services.
2. Account Registration and Security
2.1 Account Creation
To access certain features of our Services, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information at the time of registration
- Keep your account information up to date
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
2.2 Verification Codes
We use one-time verification codes delivered to your registered email address or mobile phone number in lieu of a password. You agree to:
- Keep verification codes strictly confidential
- Never share a code with any other person, including anyone claiming to be a ReDefiners staff member — we will never ask you for your code
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
2.3 Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of the email address and phone number associated with your account. ReDefiners is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.
You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address and/or mobile phone number associated with your account. If you lose access to either verification method, you must contact ReDefiners before account access can be restored.
ReDefiners reserves the right to temporarily suspend account access if suspicious or unauthorized activity is detected while we investigate the security of the account.
3. Household Accounts and Minors
Our platform allows you to create a household account and add household members, including minor children, for the purpose of enrolling them in our educational programs.
- You must be the parent or legal guardian of any minor you add to your account
- You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide for household members is accurate
- You consent on behalf of any minor household members to the collection and use of their information as described in our Privacy Policy
- Minors under the age of 18 may not create independent accounts
You are responsible for ensuring that each household member added to your account is eligible to participate in the selected programs and that all information submitted on their behalf is accurate, complete, and kept up to date.
If you become aware of inaccurate, duplicate, or outdated household information that you are unable to update or remove through your account, you agree to notify ReDefiners using the contact information provided in Section 18.
4. Program Enrollment and Registration
4.1 Enrollment
Registering for a program through our platform does not constitute a guaranteed placement. Enrollment is subject to:
- Availability of space in the requested program or class
- Completion of any required registration forms or documentation
- Payment of applicable fees, if any
- Confirmation communication from ReDefiners
4.2 Fees and Payments
While many ReDefiners programs are offered free of charge, certain programs may require registration fees or tuition. Any applicable fees, payment schedules, accepted payment methods, and applicable taxes will be disclosed during the enrollment process.
Payments are securely processed through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By completing a paid registration, you authorize ReDefiners and its payment processor to charge the applicable fees associated with your enrollment.
4.3 Cancellations and Refunds
Certain paid programs, including seasonal camps and special events, are subject to separate cancellation and refund policies presented during the registration and checkout process. Those policies are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
By enrolling in a paid program, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to the applicable cancellation and refund policy presented during registration.
4.4 Communications
By creating an account or enrolling in a program, you consent to receive communications related to your account, enrollments, class schedules, reminders, verification codes, safety notices, and other operational matters through email, SMS, or other contact methods you provide. If you separately consent to receive marketing communications, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting operational communications necessary to administer your participation in our programs.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account
- Provide false or misleading information about yourself or household members
- Use the platform for any purpose other than accessing ReDefiners educational programs
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our platform or systems
- Engage in any conduct that is harassing, abusive, or harmful to other users, staff, or volunteers
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute any ReDefiners curriculum, materials, or content without prior written permission
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or interact with our Services
- Attempt to interfere with the security, integrity, or proper operation of the Services.
6. Intellectual Property
All content available through our Services — including but not limited to educational materials, lesson content, videos, graphics, logos, and the ReDefiners name and branding — is the property of ReDefiners World Languages or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any ReDefiners content without our prior written consent.
7. Accessibility

In connection with your use of our Services and participation in our programs, you agree to treat all individuals with dignity and respect, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, language, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.
ReDefiners reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts or remove participants from programs for conduct that violates these standards, at our sole discretion.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ReDefiners disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that our platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that any errors will be corrected.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ReDefiners, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to ReDefiners during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ReDefiners World Languages and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of our Services.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida. You consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
13. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Post the revised Terms at redefinerswl.org/terms-of-use
- Notify registered account holders via email of significant changes
Your continued use of our Services after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using our Services.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, our policies, or is harmful to other users, staff, or the organization.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 15 of these Terms shall survive any termination.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
16. Availability of Services
We strive to keep our Services available and operational; however, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, technical issues, security events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control may temporarily interrupt access to the Services. ReDefiners shall not be liable for temporary interruptions or delays in service.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ReDefiners World Languages with respect to your use of our Services, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, or understandings.
