How much time is dedicated to Spanish language learning during the camp? Is it an immersion program or daily classes?
Where is the camp located?
What ages are suitable for the program?
Our program is designed for children aged 6-11. Children entering kindergarten are welcome to join the camp once they reach the age of 6.
Is the pricing per week or for the entire 4-week program?
How can I apply for the 60% discount?
To apply for the 60% discount, ensure your child qualifies for Free/Reduced school meals and submit proof of income eligibility during the enrollment process.
Is the sibling discount applicable to the income-based pricing?
No, the sibling discount of 10% applies exclusively to the standard pricing. The siblings' discount applies to each additional child beyond the first one. So, if you're enrolling more than one child, each additional sibling will receive a 10% discount on the standard pricing. It's a fantastic way to make learning a family affair and save on the overall cost!
What are the aftercare options and costs?
Aftercare is available from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM for $50/week per family. Simply indicate your aftercare preferences during the enrollment process.
Are all volunteers and staff background checked? How recently are these checks done?
All program staff (including volunteers & contracted staff) MUST undergo a Level II fingerprint/FBI background clearance to work within our program and for our program to operate as a whole.
What is the process for the kids changing in and out of swim clothes? Do they have a private area to do this? (Not a group locker room)
All clothing changes will be done in the YMCA changing rooms however, there are private areas (including restroom stalls) and if you wish, we can have your child change in a private room here at the center, before we commute to the YMCA.
Are the swim instructors certified life guards?
Yes, the Swim Instructors are certified and qualified to not only instruct but to perform CPR and life saving techniques, if needed.
How is the program structured, especially with field trips and swimming classes in different locations?
Our program is thoughtfully designed to include exciting field trips and swimming classes at various locations. Rest assured, we utilize a reliable transportation service and accompany children at all times. Before the program starts, we will share comprehensive safety measures and procedures with parents to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for all participants.
