Did you know Panama is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world? Or that its flag features stars representing purity and law? Here are some highlights your child will explore:

Landmarks: The engineering marvel of the Panama Canal, the historic ruins of Fort San Lorenzo, and the stunning Amador Causeway.
Biodiversity: Home to exotic animals like jaguars, sloths, and the Harpy Eagle, Panama is a nature lover’s paradise.

How much time is dedicated to Spanish language learning during the camp? Is it an immersion program or daily classes?

This is an immersion program and it is 80% in Spanish. Depending on the child's previous exposure or Spanish knowledge, they start at 50% and work their way up to 80%.

Where is the camp located?

The camp is located at Temple Terrace United Methodist Church, 5030 E Busch Blvd, Temple Terrace, FL 33617. Rest assured, there is no religious affiliation or related activities. Our camp offers ample natural light, outdoor play, and a vibrant environment for both language learning and summer fun.

What ages are suitable for the program?

Our program is designed for children aged 6-11. Children entering kindergarten are welcome to join the camp once they reach the age of 6.

Is the pricing per week or for the entire 4-week program?

The pricing is for the complete 4-week program. The total amount covers all the enriching activities, language-learning experiences, and any additional selected options for the entire duration of the program.

How can I apply for the 46% discount?

To apply for the 46% discount, ensure your child qualifies for Free/Reduced school meals and submit proof of income eligibility during the enrollment process.

Is the sibling discount applicable to the income-based pricing?

No, the sibling discount of 10% applies exclusively to the standard pricing. The siblings' discount applies to each additional child beyond the first one. So, if you're enrolling more than one child, each additional sibling will receive a 10% discount on the standard pricing. It's a fantastic way to make learning a family affair and save on the overall cost!

What are the aftercare options and costs?

Aftercare is available from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM for $100/week per family. Simply indicate your aftercare preferences during the enrollment process.

Are all volunteers and staff background checked? How recently are these checks done?

All program staff (including volunteers & contracted staff) MUST undergo a Level II fingerprint/FBI background clearance to work within our program and for our program to operate as a whole.

Where and how do students change into and out of their swim clothes? Is there a private area available?

This year, swimming lessons will take place at High 5 Inc. Students have the option to come with their swimsuits already on underneath their clothes, which many families find convenient. For those who prefer to change at the facility, students will have access to a private area to change alone at the church before commuting, ensuring privacy and comfort. Children do not change in front of adults, and all changes are done independently in a private space. If you have any specific needs or concerns, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your child.

Are the swim instructors certified life guards?

Yes, the Swim Instructors are certified and qualified to not only instruct but to perform CPR and life saving techniques, if needed.

How is the program structured, especially with field trips and swimming classes in different locations?

Our program is thoughtfully designed to include exciting field trips and swimming classes at various locations. Rest assured, we utilize a reliable transportation service and accompany children at all times. Before the program starts, we will share comprehensive safety measures and procedures with parents to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for all participants.
