What is Academic Achievers?

At ReDefiners, we believe every child deserves the chance to become a confident reader. That’s why our Academic Achievers Program offers personalized, one-on-one English literacy tutoring for elementary school students in Hillsborough County who need extra support. 
Whether your child is struggling with phonics, comprehension, or vocabulary, our dedicated team is here to help them meet — and exceed — grade-level reading goals.

What to expect

Students reading level will improve within 8 sessions

Students must have access to a device with internet at home

Schedule

1 hour sessions with a tutor

1 - 2 sessions per week

8 total sessions

Eligibility

Students reading below grade level

Students must be in grades K - 5

Students must commit to a minimum of 15 minutes a day of practice work at home.

Family Reading Time

Family Reading Time is a FREE and fun celebration of literature, togetherness, and cultural exploration. We gather at the cozy Fellowship Hall of Temple Terrace United Methodist Church to share in the magic of storytelling, where captivating narratives transport us to different worlds. Join us for an evening filled with engaging books, delightful activities, and warm community connections. It's a time for families to create lasting memories through the shared love of reading. Come, be a part of our story at Family Reading Time!
